OOTD London trip!

Myself and missbudgetbeauty tottered off to London for the tarte launch. Check out my blog post about that here. It was actually a lovely sunny day hence the sunglasses lol. I haven't been able to wear them since my honeymoon and they go sooooooo well with pink! I am adamant it is nearly summer and I will dress accordingly lol. I even used my waving irons and my hair stayed wavy from day to night!

Seen as my initials are now CC these photos had to be taken. My willpower was strong..I didn't go in!!

NOTD...and other polishes!

I'm really liking the double ended nail polishes out there at the moment. You can get some really cool duo polishes without having to think about what sparkle to put with which colour.
Although I love gel nails it is nice to have the ease of changing your nail colour daily that you get with polishes!

NOTD

Price: £7.50

Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy in Eclipse.
Price: £7.99 in Boots

L-R
 Matte Nails in Easy Peasy.
Price: £6.00
Glitter Nail Polish in Ice Crush.
Price:£6.00
Both from Topshop.

Really like these two polishes together and they didn't chip for a few days either.
I find that I chip most polishes within a day of wearing them so if anyone has any tips..excuse the pun lol I'm all ears!

What's your favourite nail duo?

The Glamoriser Variable Depth Waver

As promised...my thoughts on the Glamoriser Variable Depth Waver. I've also linked a video of my first try of the product below.

I blogged recently about contemplating having a perm, but after careful consideration I decided to try out a waver to get the desired effect a perm could potentially give without the extreme cost. Volume more than anything is my aim! I did some research watching youtube videos and reading reviews and decided to go for a waver rather than tongs. As much as I love curls I really wanted waves to get that added volume..plus summer waves are a must!!

With this particular waver you can choose the depth of the wave, going for loose or tight waves. As you can see from the photo above there is a dial you can turn to decide, and you have the option of four different wave depths. I really couldn't decide which waver to go for of the ones I've seen but having this option sold it to me. I ultimately have the choice of different looks. I've only tried the deepest wave so far but I will be trying the others over the next few weeks!

As well as the choice of different waves you can also decide on the temperature dependant on how fine or thick your hair is to protect it from the heat.

Purchase the Glamoriser Depth Waver here.

Thoughts so far....

Pros...

Loved the waves and the volume it gave my hair! Strongly recommend if you want volume.

The waves lasted all day provided I used hair spray to hold, and more importantly the volume.

Make sure you don't use the waver all the way to the ends of your hair..that way your hair won't curl out at the ends and look raggy. Trial and error!

I found leaving the front bits of my hair straight looked better than waving as I've done in the video below. If you watch my London OOTD video here you'll see the comparison.

Takes about 15 mins if you have fine shoulder length hair.

The wires quite long if you need it to be ;)

Cons...

It is quite bulky/heavy to hold.

I tried sleeping on it and seeing how it was the next day. The volume had totally gone unfortunately and the waves looked abit raggy.

Glitzy bag to store them in!! Always good.

Thanks for reading..watching!!

Finally I'm going to America!!!!

Yeeesssss!! I have wanted to go to America for so long and I'm finally going. My friend is getting married in Las Vegas and I'm a bridesmaid as well as Andy being the best man. We considered going to Vegas then a bit of a road trip to LA and San Fransico but I have always wanted to go to New York so we've decided on Vegas then New York. One week in each should hopefully be enough!!

I am so very excited and found a countdown app today to keep a track of the time....only four months to go!! We haven't booked as yet...can't decide where to stay....thinking maybe The Venetian or The Bellagio in Vegas but no idea for New York. If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear from you.

The Bellagio?????...........or The Venetian????? Decisions......

We're going in August so its going to be hot!! Sight seeing while getting a tan yes!! I'm thinking I need to research beauty products etc I should purchase while I'm over there.

Have to go to Carries apartment eekk excited!!!

Sigh....can't wait. I really need to think about the best attire for while we are there!! Any thoughts as always welcome.

Quirky dog things!

Given that we have 3 dogs it's only natural that we are the receivers of dog related Christmas/Birthday presents! Mainly of the Scottie variety, it would seem that they are the most popular out there...no doubt Radley have played a part in that! I don't see as many cavalier and poodle bits but if anyone else has please let me know in the comments!

I occasionally put some of them on Instagram and have been asked where they're from, so here are a few you might be interested in......

This is available on Ebay for £5.99 excluding postage.
We keep their chews in it. They get so excited when this tin is opened!

Browsing online the cheapest I found this for is £12.95 excluding postage. Link here.

Love these!! So cute. I've put them in our kitchen. I have really struggled to find these online! They occasionally pop up on Ebay and it's worth having a look in Matalan too. They tend to stock Scottie kitchen items.

Cute dog bowls! So many different ones available online.

Looking a bit worn from all the wiping of the paws! We got this from Tesco. Unfortunately it isn't available at the moment or on Amazon but there are so many funny ones on the web. Lots to choose from if you have a browse.

Kardazzle face palettes

I'm a big fan of sparkle and glitter on the eyes. Always have been. I used to buy a lot of the Barry M glitter pots. The more glitter the better ha ha! I have toned it down a bit lately though. I don't know if that's an age thing or not! So I'm using matt as well as glitter/shimmer shadows. The Khroma beauty face palettes definitely give a nice variety of "looks". There are 3 different ones from the Kardashians. I have two of them....

Kim's Kardazzle

Kourtney's Kardazzle

I have the Kourtney and Kim palettes. I'm particularly loving the Kim's Kardazzle. It can give a really nice "sultry" look, as Lauralovesbeauty said. I haven't tried all the combinations in the palette but I'm thinking I'm going to like them all!

I'm probably going to use the Kourtney one more when I'm tanning and in the summer for a more sun kissed look.

They also come with blushers/highlighters and are a nice size for travel.
I found them on unique.com for £14.95
